Checking Your Application Status
My Applications Page
Go to My Applications in the navigation menu to see all your submitted applications.
What You'll See
If You Have No Applications
You'll see a message:
"No Applications Yet - You haven't submitted any shelter applications. Start by browsing available shelters."
With a Find Shelters button to take you to the map.
If You Have Applications
You'll see a table with your applications showing:
Status
Current status as a colored badge
Date Submitted
When you submitted the application
Shelter
The shelter name, or "All Eligible Providers" if you applied to all
Status Types
Pending
Yellow
Waiting for shelter response
Approved
Green
Shelter accepted your application
Denied
Red
Shelter could not accommodate you
Expired
Gray
Application timed out without response
Sheltered
Blue
You've been placed in a shelter
Application Summary
Below the table, you'll see a summary card showing:
Total Applications - How many applications you've submitted
Pending - Applications still waiting for response (yellow)
Approved - Applications that were approved (green)
Denied - Applications that were denied (red)
If You're Approved
You'll receive an email or text notification
Check your application for specific instructions from the shelter
Contact the shelter directly if you have questions
Arrive at the shelter by the specified time
If You're Denied
This means the shelter couldn't accommodate you at this time
You can apply again the next day
Your application goes to all matching shelters, so keep trying
Consider calling shelters directly to ask about availability
If Your Application Expired
Applications automatically expire after a certain time without response
This doesn't mean you were denied - it just means no shelter responded
You can submit a new application the next day
If You're Currently Sheltered
When you have an active shelter placement:
The Apply button on the map will be replaced with your Shelter Status Card
This card shows which shelter you're staying at and when you checked in
You can view your shelter details on your Profile page as well
Your Status is Wrong?
If the system shows you're staying at a shelter but you're not (you left or were never there), you can report this:
Click "I'm not staying here" or "Not correct?" on the status card
Optionally enter when you left the shelter
Explain why your status is incorrect
Submit the report
The shelter will be notified by email and will update your status. Once corrected, you'll be able to apply for shelter again.
