Provider Invitations

The provider invitation system allows you to onboard new organizations to the platform.


How It Works

  1. Create Invitation - Super admin creates invitation with organization details

  2. Email Sent - Invitation email sent to organization contact

  3. Organization Signs Up - They create an Advocate account with matching EIN

  4. Automatic Redemption - System matches EIN and creates their provider account

  5. Onboarding - Organization completes their profile and adds shelters

Note: Organizations must create an Advocate account with an EIN that matches the invitation. When they sign in, the system automatically matches the EIN and creates their provider account. Existing providers are not affected.


Creating an Invitation

  1. Go to Invitations

  2. Click + New Invitation

  3. Fill in required fields:

EIN Validation

The EIN is the key validation point:

  • Must be exactly 9 digits

  • System stores normalized version (dashes removed)

  • Used to match organization during redemption

  • Prevents duplicate invitations for same EIN

  • Prevents invitations for already-registered organizations

A note is shown: "Must match the EIN in the organization's Advocate account"

Resending an Invitation

  1. Find the pending invitation

  2. Click the mail icon (Resend)

  3. New email sent with same access code

Cancelling an Invitation

  1. Find the pending invitation

  2. Click the X icon (Cancel)

  3. Confirm the action

Cancelled invitations cannot be redeemed.
